BANGALORE: With just two days left for the Gandhinagar bypoll, police are pulling up their socks. On Friday, public campaign for elections came to an end.

According to DCP (West) S N Sidramappa, 150 policemen and three platoons of Karnataka State Reserve Police have been deputed for the bypoll.

“Apart from these police, two DCPs, three PSI will be there on the day of election,” he said. Police patrolling will continue for the next two days. Sidramappa said that there are 12 polling booths in Gandhinagar of which six are considered as sensitive booths and other 6 hyper-sensitive booths. “We are deputing 60 policemen from Saturday at all polling booths,” he said.
