BANGALORE: A 41-year-old fraud was arrested by the old airport police when he tresspassed the airport premises in the disguise of a Lieutenant Colonel.

The accused, S S Rana, is a native of New Delhi, the police said.

Rana allegedly made use of facilities provided to military officials, like the canteen and hospital facilities by producing a fake identity card (ID) of a Lt Colonel.

The airport staff frisked Rana on suspicion and found that  the ID which he carried did not match to other military IDs.

Later, Rana was handed over to the old airport police for investigation.

In the preliminary inquiry, the police said that he had come to the city for marriage.

Meanwhile, it  is also said that the woman whom Rana was planning to marry was already married and her husband was allegedly involved in some terrorist activities.

The police are yet to ascertain the details of the woman and her husband, sources said.
