BANGALORE: Ranka Colony Road in Bilekahalli Ward is facing serious power cut issues. The residents have even come out to protest against the frequent disturbance.

Adith, a resident of Ranka Colony, said, “From last four days (January 6 onwards) there is constant power cuts. Currently, there is some work undertaken in the area and due to which they have dug few areas. This have resulted in this situation.”

When City Express contacted the Corporator of Bilekahalli Ward, M Roopa Ramesh, she said, “Nobody has informed me about this ongoing crisis. But since now it has come to my knowledge I will take immediate action and call up the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited and ask them to resolve the issue as soon as possible.”

Nupur, a resident said, “It is very surprising that the Corporator said that she had not received any complaints. There were huge protest staged by the people here to  remove the earthmovers and demanded to solve the power  cut  problem as soon as possible.”

Neither the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited nor the Bangalore electricity supply company limited (BESCOM) authorities were available for comment.
