BANGALORE: Bangalore Habba was inaugurated with all fervor in the city at the APS College Grounds on Friday. Home Minister R Ashok who inaugurated the event said, “Most of the Bangaloreans live a mechanical life. These kind of cultural event is essential  for rejuvenation and to make the city become aware about the traditional art forms.”

Jnanpith awardee Dr Chandrashekar Kambar who stood by the Home minister’s stand said, “Such events increase our self-confidence and is the identity of the city. It is not an easy task to continue the Habba successfully for eight long years.”

He lauded the efforts of Nandini Alwa and Padmini Ravi who were behind the concept, Bangalore Habba. BBMP Deputy Mayor S Harish, Palike Member Katte Sathyanarayana, I M Vittal Murthy and others were present during the occasion.
