BANGALORE: Mayor Sharadamma inspected construction works of various underpass undertaken by Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). Her latest visit on Friday, is the third inspection in the past ten months.
Release from BBMP said that Mayor, who visited K R Market underpass, admitted that that it was her third visit to the spot. Last time when she visited she had told the contractors concerned to complete work by December 2011.
However, the work has not been completed. “Contractors blame it on traffic management and BWSSB’s non cooperation. Hence, this is a third warning and the work should be completed before March 15. Mayor and her team also visited Tagaore Circle and Kadirenahalli underpass, and told that work is expected to be complete by March.
Commissioner M K Shankaralinge Gowda he had instructed the officials to complete the work by March.
