BANGALORE: The Department of Public Instruction has issued guidelines for admission into classes one to twelve to all private schools coming under its jurisdiction. The announcement of seats and admission notices have to be issued mandatorily on April 10.
The issue of application forms should commence from April 20 and end on April 30. The last date for receiving applications is April 30. The merit list of eligible students and the list of those who have been rejected have to be issued on May 3.
The last date to receive objections to the merit and rejection lists is May 5. The first short list has to be out on May 6, with the last date for admissions of students on the first list being May 15. The second shortlist should be issued on May 16 with the last date for admissions of students on the second list being May 20.
Re-exam Postponed
The Directorate of Correspondence Courses and Distance Education (DCC&DE), Bangalore University, had announced that re-examinations would start from January 16 for the cancelled exams of August/September 2011 at Bellary, Koppal, Davangere and Bangalore College and Research Institute. The examination now stands postponed as per the directions of the Karnataka High Court. The date and venue of the examination wil be intimated shortly.
