BANGALORE: Following the alleged assault on the advocate Balakrishna by Tyagarajanagar police on Saturday morning, The Bangalore Bar Association has decided to boycott court proceedings in all over the State on Thursday. President of the Bangalore Bar Association K N Subba Reddy said, “Our general body meeting has decided to boycott all the court proceedings in the State as the government has failed to suspend Tyagarajanagar Sub-inspector and police constable who assaulted Balakrishna. We are going in a rally to Raj Bhavan and submit a representation on Wednesday morning. Regarding the boycott, we will meet the Chief Justice and explain the issue.”

After the hearing of cases on Wednesday evening, senior advocates asked the Chief Justice Vikramajit Sen about lawyers boycotting the court proceedings on Thursday, Justice Sen asked, “What boycott, for what and it didn’t come to my notice,” he said.
