BANGALORE: Leader of Opposition M Udayshankar demanded the Ruling party to distribute sweaters to the students of all the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) schools and colleges in the city.

Release from Udayshankar said that temperature had dipped down in Bangalore compared with last year. There are around 18,250 students studying at 136 schools, 13 junior colleges of BBMP. He said that every year, during winter, the Palike distributes sweaters to the students of Palike schools and colleges. “This year, winter season is close to coming to an end and Palike is yet to distribute sweaters to the needy students, which is unfortunate,” he stated.

Udayshankar demanded Mayor Sharadamma, members of Standing Committee (Education) and other officials to distribute sweaters as soon as possible, the release  stated.
