BANGALORE: If everything goes as planned by Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), the city will get atleast 14 more roads that will be constructed over storm water drains.

On Friday,  MP Ananth Kumar inaugurated the newly constructed ‘Sir M Visveswaraya’ road, which has been constructed over storm water drain that connects Basavanagudi-Thygarajnagar-Banashankari. It has been built at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore and it is a complete concrete road. Ananth Swamy, BBMP’s Chief Engineer also confirmed that there is a proposal to construct roads on SWDs. Of the 14 roads, two will be at Bommanahalli, Magarath road. Such roads will lessen the traffic burden.
