BANGALORE: The sleuths of the organised crime wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested rowdy Manikanta alias Lorryvaiah, 24, and his three associates while they were allegedly trying to attack their opponent gang members.

Manikanta, a resident of Kurubarahalli, is facing eight cases including three attempt to murder cases in various police stations of the city.

He was also convicted in a robbery case and other cases are pending.

He was absconding and did not appear before the court.

The other accused have been identified as Lokesh alias Tourist Loki, 24, of Vyalikaval, Srikanth, 23, of Laggere and Preetham, 19, of Mavalli.

The police said that the four had collected information about their opponent gang members and were waiting near Hudson Circle to attack them.

According to police, they had planned to rob and murder their opponents .

Based on a tip off, they were nabbed.

A case has been registered in Halasur Gate police station.
