A teacher of a school here has been booked foralleged sexual harassment of his girl students and a hunt is on to arrest him,police said today.
The cases against Basavaraj, a Hindi teacher, was registeredunder IPC section 354 (relating to outraging modesty of woman) on complaintsfrom the students.
The teacher was absconding and a search was on. He would bearrested soon, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Siddaramappa said.
He said the girl students alleged that the teacher 'sexuallyharassed' them and threatened that he would fail them in exams if they informedanyone.
The teacher was earlier warned by the school headmaster for'sexually harassing' the girl students, but in vain.
