BANGALORE: City Police Commissioner B G Jyothiprakash Mirji  has clamped IPC Section 144 in the city for six days to  maintain public order, peace and tranquillity.  All processions, dharnas, rallies and public meetings that are likely   hatred between different communities or individuals or to cause a disturbance to the public peace and order in Ashoknagar, Halsur Gate, S J Park, S R Nagar, Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha, High Grounds, Chickpet, Upparpet, City Market and K G Road police stations limits have been banned. These restrictions will be in force from 10-45 am on March 2 to  12 pm on March 8. Carrying any weapons like knife, stones, metal tools or other dangerous materials have been strictly prohibited.
