BANGALORE:  Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah has said that the attack on media persons on Friday in the City Civil Court complex was “a deep-rooted conspiracy of  unseen hands and vested interests.” “I have a strong suspicion that advocates from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh could be involved,” he said, while speaking to the media on Saturday.

He also said that the violence had effectively diverted the attention of the people from various scams of the state government. “Who is the beneficiary? Obviously, the government and the ruling party,” said and accused the establishment of engineering the trouble.

According Siddaramaiah, DG&IGP Shankar Bidari and City Police Commissioner B G Jyothiprakash Mirji were not obeying the orders of the Chief Minister and the Home Minister, “which means that the government is not in control of the situation.”
