BANGALORE: The sleuths of the Organised Crime Wing (OCW) of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) have arrested five associates of notorious rowdy Silent Sunil, including Nagaraja alias Pitta.
The arrested persons were allegedly waiting to kill and rob an opponent gang member. The other accused have been identified as Ananda alias Anu (25), Ravi alias Burra (24), Vinod (23), all three from Malleswaram, and Chandrashekhar (28) of J C Nagar. Based on a tip off, the police swung into action and arrested them. However, the other rowdy Preetham escaped. The police have recovered lethal weapons, chilly powder and three mobile phones from the accused.
A case has been registered in Central police station in this connection.
