BANGALORE: The tilted building at Shantipura near Electronics City, which was posing a serious threat to an adjacent residential complex, is yet to to demolished. The demolition work may be completed in another two days, sources said.

The building, allegedly built using sub-standard materials, was found leaning on Tuesday morning.

The police and the fire officials rushed to the spot to examine what had happened. Later, Bangalore Urban DC M K Aiyyappa had given demolition orders for the building.

However, no proper demolition work was started till Wednesday evening. The demolition work was given to a private agency. The work was in progress till 9 pm and it would continue on Thursday.

They are planning to save the skeleton of the building while ensuring that the demolition work would not affect the adjacent building. The building owner has to bear the expenses of demolition works, the officials said.
