BANGALORE: The Ramamurthynagar police have cracked the murder case of a beautician by arresting 13 persons, including a woman, who had given supari (contract) to the other accused. Investigations revealed that the victim’s extra marital affair with the arrested woman’s husband was the reason behind the murder.

Nirmala (42), a resident of Yaraiahana Palya at Srinivasa Reddy Layout, who was running a beauty parlour on Kumbara Street in K R Puram, was clubbed to death at her house on February 27 afternoon.

The police arrested Basava (25), Shankar Bhai (24), Vaale Ravi (25), Sketch Prasanna (20), Manoj (23), Sunil (23), Anil (29), Savitha (28), Muruga (19), Subramani, Kishan Kumar (20), J Yesu alias Kolanda (19) and Murali (29) in connection with the murder.

The other accused in the case, Seena, is absconding.

The police have recovered gold ornaments which were taken away from the victim after killing her.

According to the police, the victim Nirmala reportedly had extra marital affair with accused Savitha’s husband Ramesh for the past 15 years. Though Savitha had warned Nirmala on several occasions against this, the duo continued their relationship.

Savitha allegedly decided to eliminate her husband’s paramour and sought the help of her relative Anil.

He, in turn, roped in other accused to execute the plan and the 13-member gang were assured of Rs 4 lakh as supari from Savitha.

“According to the plan, the 13-member gang gained entry into Nirmala’s house in the guise of customers on February 22 and clubbed her to death before escaping with her gold jewels,” the police who investigated the case added.
