BANGALORE: Candidates who wrote the II PUC Physics examination on Tuesday were in for another shock, following a prank by miscreants. Apparently, an SMS was circulated among students on Monday night with questions that were purported to appear in question paper.

Much to the disappointment of the students, none of the questions mentioned in the SMS, made it to the question paper. The news about the SMS, however, caused panic among students who did not get the SMS that they might lose marks for having attempted some of the questions.

Officials of the Department of PU Education laid to rest all rumours that the questions in the SMS and the actual question paper were similar.

“There is no truth in this. There is no reason for students to worry about losing marks, as the SMS was bogus,” said an official

27 DEBARRED

The II PUC Physics, Logic and Education final examinations on Tuesday saw 27 candidates debarred for allegedly indulging in malpractices. Once again, Bijapur tops the list with 16 candidates, followed by 3 in Bidar and two each in Davangere and Bangalore (North).

Belgaum, Bagalkot, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi had one candidate debarred each.
