As the year came to an end at the Vaels Billabong High International School Kangaroo Kids, Neelankarai, the Senior Kindergarten toddlers, smartly attired in their black robes and hats, graduated in style on Wednesday. V Venkatachalam, dean, Vels Group of Schools, and Charu Eswar, centre head, Vaels Billabong, were the chief guests. The Kindergarten graduation ceremony began with the children singing the school song, echoing together, “I Love Kangaroo Kids…!” Each class presented a cultural programme for the guests and the audience, some singing songs while others recited rhymes.
It was an emotional and proud moment for the parents and teachers when their little ones received their graduation certificates from the chief guests. The programme came to a memorable conclusion with the children singing a song about leaving Senior KG and entering Grade 1.
Arthi Ganesh, managing trustee, and Jyothi Murugan, former vice chancellor, Thiruvalluvar University, presided over the function.
