Two Indonesian  children have received a new lease of life, thanks to the efforts of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research and Rotary International. Five-year-old Kevin, from Medan and 10-year -old Angeline from DJakarta, recently underwent successful open heart surgeries and are now fit to be discharged.

Unable to bear the cost of surgery in Indonesia, their parents contacted Rotary International District 3190 and it facilitated the surgeries at the institute.

The operation was conducted by Dr Seetharam Bhat and his team.
