Pustaka Parishe on Sunday

The fifth edition of Pustaka Parishe will be held at National High School Grounds in Basavanagudi between 9.30 am and 9 pm on Sunday.

Organised by Srusti Ventures, in association with Kannada Book Authority, the event will have 10 lakh books ranging from classics, biographies, autobiographies and academic texts  on display. The uniqueness of the fair is, no book will be sold, but every visitor can pick any one book for free.

“With an intention to promote the habit of reading, and make better use of old books, we are organising this public exhibition. We have collected old books from donors,” said Nagaraj Navunda of Srusti Ventures.

Dr Siddalingaiah, chairman of the Authority said  such events are must to develop the habit of reading books.
