Don’t shy away from colour

We give you a few tips on how to wear your colours right this season
Don’t shy away from colour

Dump your boring blue denims this season and go for something funky and colourful-Yes, we are talking about colourful pants which have flooded the stores this season. Right from the girl next door to Demi Moore is sporting them (She lookeds stunning with her glossy electric red trousers. Again, hers are very easily combined with classic colours such as black and white) From colourful pallazo pants to slim fits, these colours can transform the way you look. They may seem a little over the top while you try it first, but it is sure to turn heads and for all the right reasons.

However, with an endless array of pants to choose from in different cuts, styles, colours, fabrics, fits - why opt out of wearing them? The latest and most vibrant trend is the colorful-skinny style pant, but there are plenty of other styles available in great colours, too.

If you look back at history, in the Western world, women have always worn dresses and skirt-like articles of clothing while only men wore trousers. It wasn’t until the 19th century that women started to wear trousers and blouses but only when doing industrial-type work.

Given that summer is winding down, brightlycoloured anything may seem like an unconventional purchase. Nonsense. Yes, perky colors are more closely associated with warm summer days as darker articles tend to attract more of the sun. Still, don’t let this association lay out your fashion path for the two, much cooler, upcoming seasons. If anything, and as studies have shown, wearing bright colors and dressing up have a direct effect on your mood throughout the day. For example, a comfy look of over-sized sweats and a tee would hardly give a person the energy to go out and conquer the day - a lazy day of watching movies back to back, lying on a couch with a big bucket of popcorn is what comes to mind.

On gloomy days that will suck the energy of putting effort into an outfit when getting dressed in the morning, recite a favorite fashion quote for a little encouragement and the bright pants will do the rest of the magic!
