Celebrations galore in Bangalore

The R  Nagar Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti members are all set to celebrate durga puja in a big way. The Samiti, celebrating their sixth successful year, have planned great cultural extravaganzas for all the days.

 This year’s celebrations will have performance by playback singer Haimanti Shukla from Kolkata on October 21 (Saptami), followed by live-in-concert with Chandrabindoo, a new generation rock band from Bengal on October 23 (NAVAMI).

 Mridul Bhattacharjee, comedy artiste will be on stage on October 22(Ashtami).

 Apart from the above there will be a host of food and non food stalls which will create a lot of excitement among the visitors who come to Patels Inn during the Durga Puja Festival.

 They can not only taste the lip smacking Bengali and other foods available at the variety of food stalls, but also take a look at the big spread of non food stalls that will sell everything from holiday packages, cars, jewellery to apartments The association is expecting a footfall of around 25,000 people during those four days.

 Over the years, they have witnessed thousands of devotees from RTN and from other parts of Bangalore visiting their pujas. The venue is Patels-Inn, R T Nagar (next to White House apartment).
