Doing it right the Greek way

Krupanidhi School of Management, Bangalore celebrated Fresher’s Day, Freskotero Mera 2012  in a unique style. This was a themed event where all the students, faculty and guests appeared in Greek costumes, creating a festive ambience.As the event progressed, a number of activities were organised for the attendees. The highlight of the event include Mr and Miss Fresher 2012, best dressed students, faculty and guests, making it a lively and enthusiastic affair. The different clothing styles of this century changed with events and innovations. The students are wearing drapes and gowns inspired by the Greek costumes.

The colours used were whites and blues along with rich purples, greens and reds. The silhouettes were free flowing, just as the draped togas .The fabric used were leather satin and borders with the Greek motives. The essential clothing for men and women was an inner tunic and outer cloak called the Himation. Clothes were fastened with brooches or pins, and a belt or girdle was used to secure the waist.
