The Karnataka State Pre University Colleges Lecturers Association has demanded the implementation of the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission.

In a press conference on Saturday the Association President Thimmaiah Purle said that there is a huge difference in the salaries paid to lecturers.

The members of the Association complained that despite a comprehensive report submitted by Primary Education Secretary G Kumar Naik, the government has failed to take action.

They said that Teachers Day would be observed as a day of protest.
