Protest against moral policing

Condemning the attack on a girl student in Dakshina Kannada district by the activists of Akhila Bharathiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) recently, Campus Front of India (CFI) will hold rallies, dharnas, sticker campaign and form a human chain across the state.

Announcing this at a news conference here on Saturday, State General Secretary of CSI, Abdul Rahim, said, “The BJP government here is only protecting hooligans, fascist and other hardliners. This was evident when the government withdrew 369 cases filed against the moral police. It seems that the government is insensitive towards the damage caused to peace and unity of the society.”

The CFI has approached a women’s welfare association and the issue will taken further to the National Human Rights Commission and also to the Governor.
