People travelling to far off points in the city were the hardest hit. College students travelling in buses were also affected a lot and some of them were grateful that it was not the exam time. A resident of Tannery Road expressed concern over the situation which is likely to continue for a day more. “We have to travel between two extreme ends of the city. What should one do if one cannot afford to take an auto everyday?” she questioned.
A woman, who had just arrived from Delhi, said that even if buses did show up once in a while, they were too crowded to be boarded.
The Kempegowda Bus Station, which is generally too crowded, had only a few people helplessly waiting for the buses on the platforms.
Express observed that only a few buses starting at abrupt timings according to the requirements of the hapless passengers.
