Man ends life on HT Power Tower

 A 24-year-old man who had married recently committed suicide by hanging at a high tension transmission tower at Khaji Sonnenahalli in Kadugodi police station limits in the wee hours of Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Gowtam Charan Jinna, a native of Odissa was working as a welder. He was married to one Sony just two months ago.

According to the police, the incident took place around 5.30 am and he hanged himself after climbing the transmission tower. The people who were walking near the tower noticed his body hanging from the tower and informed the police.

The reason for this extreme step is yet to be ascertained, the police said.

Rowdy hacked to death

A 29-year-old rowdy sheeter was hacked to death by a group of miscreants at Manganahalli near Ullal in Tavarekere police station limits on Saturday morning.

The victim has been identified as Karthik, a resident of Bapujinagar on Mysore Road who was running a real estate agency with his friend Gangadhar at Udayanagar near NICE Road.
