The BBMP Council is expected to approve a separate bylaw for solid waste management (SWM) on Friday.
According to the BBMP Commissioner Rajneesh Goel, they have prepared a draft of a bylaw which includes segregation at source by public. There will be penalty clause for violation.
When asked about the penalty amount, Goel said it is upto the Council to fix the penalty fee.
“The matter will come to the Council on Friday,” he said. The Council after approving SWM bylaw will send it to the State government for approval.
