A two-day exhibition and conference on rice processing technology, Rice Tech Expo, will be held from September 28 in Davangere.
The event is organised by Karnataka State Rice Millers Association and Davangere District, Rice Millers Association with support from Food and Supplies Department, Government of Karnataka.
Speaking at the news conference here on Friday, S Srinivas, one of the organisers of the event said, “We are bringing techonology in rice mills. We want to show people where we stand in rice production. We are at number three in the country in rice production. We produce about 22 to 25 lakh tonnes of rice and will bring in new techonology to increase the producivity.”
