Youths killed in road accident

Two youths were killed after their speeding motor cycle rammed into a median at Jnanajyotinagar near Bangalore University Compound in Kamakshipalya traffic police limits on Saturday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Shafi Ahmed, 20, and his elder brother Shabber Pasha, 22. They are residents of Doddabasti.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 8.30 am when they were on their way home on a two wheeler. Shafi, who was riding the bike, allegedly speeded and overtook a truck from the left side. He lost control and rammed into the median.

The duo sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot, the police said.

The Kamakshipalya Traffic police have registered a case.
