The Miss Bangalore pageant in the city culminated in an entertaining battle of style and wits in the grand finale that was held at The Lalit Ashok on Thursday.

Making the evening memorable was a stellar laser performance by an international troupe of artists. The panel of judges included Vasanth Kumar, executive director of Max, ex-cricketer Syed Kirmani, actress Jennifer Kotwal and fashion photographer Waseem Khan.

Nicole Padwal clinched the title of Miss Bangalore 2012 as well as the title of Miss Catwalk with her immaculate sense of panache and intelligence. Darshithmitha Gowda was the First Runner-up, also winning the title of Miss Figure. The second runner up was Rukshar Mir. The Miss Photogenic title was bagged by Candida Samuel Andrade while Monisha R was adjudged as the winner of Miss Beautiful Eyes. Sonali Shyam Gopal walked away with the title of Miss Beautiful Hair while Tanya Priya was awarded the title of Miss Beautiful Skin. The popularity contest was won by Chandni H Hussain.

Apart from the finalists, the show stealer was the fashion show choreographed by Achla Sachdev showcasing the Festive-Winter 2012 collection.

The collection comprised of vibrant hues, innovative patterns and truly international styling and lifted the glamour quotient of the contestants.

Congratulating the winners, Vasanth Kumar said, “By supporting the Miss Bangalore initiative, we foster fresh talent and groom aspiring young models who have the potential and style to achieve success.”

Sajad Mahajan, director of Dream Merchants added, “This has provided a stepping stone to some of the most glamorous faces of Bangalore. This year we have had a very talented set of finalists who presented a perfect combination of beauty and brains. In fact, it was a difficult task for the judges to make the decision as all the contestants were very talented and the competition was tough. I am confident that the winners as well as the other participants will be able to soon carve a niche for themselves in the glamour industry.”
