The High Court on Friday ordered a notices to Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) and asked the chairman to appear before it in connection with a petition filed against “illegal construction” of school building on a playground in Banaswadi.
During the hearing, Justice Ram Mohan Reddy also issued notice to the director of the school to appear before the court.
Petitioner Ashok Kumar stated that the BDA had converted a playground in Banaswadi into CA site and had granted the site to construct a government school.
However, some private party had gone ahead with the construction of a school.
Meanwhile, the residents urged the state government to cancel the allotment given to the private party to construct a school and permit only a government school in the area.
The case was adjourned.
