Housing scam: BEML staff seek CBI probe

Suresh said that the society, since its creation in 1972 had allotted over 9,000 sites so far to its employees.  Since 2010, many by-laws of the society have been violated. Members and outsiders were granted dual memberships,he alleged.

The company has been in the thick of many financial irregularities, including the Tatra truck procurement scam involving their erstwhile chairman and MD V R S Natarajan. The former CMD had to part with his chair as his name also appeared in the housing society allocation scam.
