Love the supreme being

The knowledge of Upanishad is endless as is the subject of discussion therein. However this knowledge becomes simple if the veil of ‘Maya’ is removed. This ‘Maya’ is attachment to object of wealth and affection for one’s dear ones. Vedanta explains the ways and means of self purification by controlling the sensual desires and detachment from worldly possession.

The Veda affirm that God is the sole object of worship, ‘Adore God alone’; ‘Know God alone, give up all other discourse; Vedanta also says that it is the message of Vedas,”That none but the Supreme being is to be worshipped, nothing excepting him should be adored by wise man. The veda also declare that adoration of the Supreme Being is required by mankind as well as of the celestial gods. Because those who understand the Supreme being will get absorbed in Him. The veda illustrate the method of worship of the Supreme Being, “To God we should approach, of him we should hear, of him we should think, and of him we attempt to approximate. In thinking of God we have to think of his immutable laws and the unity of the universe. Moral Principle is a part of adoration of God. Truth alone triumphs and control over passions and external senses of body and doing of good acts are declared to be indispensable in the mind’s approximation to the Supreme being. We should not indulge in evil propensities. Detachment from the worldly considerations and self resignation and reliance on the true being are also good acts according to Vyasa. Worship of the Supreme being is not limited to any particular place or shrine. One can worship God in any place where mind feels itself undisturbed. The veda begins and concludes with the three peculiar and mysterious epithets of God. OM, TAT and SAT.

These terms simply affirm that one unknown, true being is the creator, preserver and destroyer of the universe. Gayatri Mantra is the entrance of the divine bliss. By means of Om, Bhurh, Bhuvah and Swah and the Gayatri, or each of the three singly, the most exalted High, Gog, the source of intellect, should be worshipped. Three worlds are defined in Earth, Space and heaven as the body of the supreme intelligence.

So the Supreme being is all- pervading power and is the soul of the universe, the human soul and the supreme soul exist from eternity to eternity.

The supreme soul has some what the same influence over the universe as the individual soul has over the individual body.
