Don’t worry about your body

Don’t worry about your body

The main possession of that a rich man has is wealth but he may or may not put on costly dresses, gold chain, gold rings etc.

Similarly true Jnani (who has attained the state where he has experienced the presence of the same Atman every where) may also give discourses and write books etc.

 it is optional.

Advaita does not deny the existence of Parameshwara: For both Guru and Ishwara the state of Ananda is found in the state of ‘Brahman’ without qualities.

Whatever the nature of Upadhis, it can never be perfect.

But worship of Ishwara will help Sadhaka to acquire dispassion about the worldly life and will be eager for liberation and by the grace of ishawara he will acquire Janana so the intention of Sadguru and Omniscient Ishawara is to make ‘Jiva’ realise the ultimate state of Para Brahman and make them enjoy the ‘Paramananda’ (Bliss) which they themselves are enjoying.

Guru is taking the trouble of preaching his disciples with the intention that his disciples should attain the eternal and perfect state and Ishwara is also taking the trouble of overseeing the activities of this vast universe to create such perfect men.

The difference between Guru and Parameshwara is quantitative and not qualitative.

Advaita does not deny the existence of Parameshawara.

Shri Adi Shankaracharya the exponent of Advaita has written many stotras expressing devotion to Gods and Goddesses like Shiva, Rama Krishna, Sharada and others.

In Advaita Sampradaya the Upasanas of Vishnu and Shiva as Parameshwara is carried out.

When lord Hanumana was asked about his relation with Lord Shri Rama, he said “Bodily he is master and I am his servant.

But we are one and the same as both have same Atman.

Those who do not understand the real meaning of “Aham Brahmasmi” will abuse Advaita unnecessarily.

Giving up the attachment: There are three dominant desires viz attachment to body scriptures and public.

 These cravings make Jnana ineffective.

These three desires are the means by which the ‘I’ and ‘mine’ operate.

Hence giving up these is quite essential.

Don’t worry always about the body.

Most of our time is spent in taking care of the body and its activities so treat this body and worldly tasks as ordinary.

Utilise valuable time for doing the spiritual Sudhana.

In spite of taking all the care of the body something or the other ailments corp up.

The body is prone to so many affections viz hunger, thirst, illness, disease, old age and ultimately death.

We have no control on these happenings.

The best way is to giving up the attachment to the body and concentrate on spiritual practices.

The monetary value of this mortal body which is made up of certain amount few elements like carbon phosphorus, sulfur and fat is very low.

Even then nobody wants to purchase it.

So stop craving only for your body.

Instead if you start carving for everyone around you, your body will not suffer but will on the other hand enhance its glory.
