A 14-year-old girl was allegedly repeatedly raped by her uncle at his house in Venkateshwarappa Colony in Byatarayanapura.
The Byatarayanapura police are on the lookout for the accused, Shaheen Shah, 35. The girl’s grandmother filed a case against the accused on Monday.
Police said that the victim’s father was serving a jail term for the murder of his wife and the victim had been adopted by Shah and his family.
Preliminary investigations revealed that he had raped the victim repeatedly over the past five months. This was discovered by Shah’s grandmother, who then approached the police.
The police said Shah’s wife allegedly encouraged him to rape the victim. She been detained by the police for questioning. ENS
