IMTEX 2013, the 16th Indian Metal-cutting Machine Tool Exhibition which was held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) culminated in an evening of fellowship and bonhomie. Running concurrently with IMTEX 2013, was the Tooltech 2013 - the 15th International Exhibition of cutting tools, tooling systems, machine tool accessories and metrology.
Tooltech 2013 featured the latest trends in cutting tools and tooling systems from all across the globe.
The Swiss Indian Chamber of Commerce hosted a special Swiss evening to celebrate the participation of 13 Swiss companies that were part of the 16th IMTEX 2013. Executives and senior management from these Swiss companies joined the guest of honour, Consul General of Switzerland, Rolf Frei, Dr Margrit Leuthold, Executive Director, Swissnex and Raghuram, SICCI President-Southern India.
The evening was held to help create awareness about Swiss technological leadership in the Swiss Machine tools industry and opportunities for the sector in India and provide a platform for business networking.
Speaking at the occasion, Raghuram said, “This is a great initiative to celebrate Swiss technological excellence in the machine tool industry.
The Swiss Indo Chamber of Commerce is happy to have 30 Swiss companies in Bangalore and it is growing steadily. We would want to keep advancing our Indo-Swiss economic relationships.”
