More people from the city can write the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) as additional testing has been made available in Bangalore and nine other cities owing to the increasing number of takers for the GRE scores.

“Interest in the GRE revised general test has been steadily growing as more people are choosing to submit GRE scores when applying for an MBA or specialised master’s programmes abroad. The number of graduate schools around the world who accept GRE scores is also on the rise, giving GRE test takers a lot of options,” said Dawn Piacentino, Director of Communications and Services for the GRE Programme at Educational Testing Services.

The cities where additional testing will be available include Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Kolkota, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Vadodara and Vasad.

New test centres are being offered through the Prometric Test Centre network and at additional official testing locations outside of the network. There are also plans to further increase available appointments in the upcoming months. Given the higher interest in India, prospective GRE test takers are encouraged to register early to get their preferred testing date and location. All testing locations can be found by accessing the GRE registration system at www.ets.org/gre/register
