Prabhakar Shetty, an industrialist and president of Bunts Association was reportedly kidnapped on Sunday.
Shetty had gone to his poultry farm in Bidarahalli Hundi in his Volkswagen car, when some miscreants waylaid him. They dumped their car, forcefully entered his car, and took him away, police said.
When he did not return home, his family lodged a complaint at the V V Puram police station.
Later, the case was referred to Nazarbad police station as the reported crime happened under its jurisdiction. Three years ago, an attempt was made to kidnap Prabhakar’s son. Shetty was also the chairman of the Swami Vivekananda Educational Institute.
