'Protect people who expose BBMP scams'

Speaking to reporters, the Union President R Subramaniam said Assistant Revenue Officer and other staffers in Herohalli Sub-division  (Rajarajeshwari Nagar zone) have exposed scam related to misappropriation of funds by their colleagues. It has led to unearthing of more number of cheque bounce cases, he added.

He also alleged that bogus receipts were issued for improvement charges by some officials and they are involved in forgery to issue Khatas. “Now, some miscreants have threatened the officials who have exposed this scam. There is a need to give them security,” he felt.

He also demanded the suspension of officials involved in the scam. S

He demanded the BBMP  to transfer Revenue Department officials to different zones to prevent further scams.

“There is a need to stop the system of paying tax through cheques,” Subramaniam  observed.
