The controversial first semester BEd exams ended on Tuesday, with over 5,000 students appearing for the Information and Communication Technology exam across 21 exam centres in the Bangalore University (BU) limits. MES Teachers’ College principal H S Ganesh Bhatta has been appointed as custodian of answer scripts and evaluations are scheduled to commence next week.
There were 5,490 candidates registered for the exam. “Of them, we disqualified about 300 candidates. We have asked the officials to take extra care during the evaluation process to ensure there is no external influence,” said Vice-Chancellor B Thimme Gowda.
The V-C decided to convene a special academic council meeting on June 24 to discuss the final report of the BU Task Force that was submitted on May 25.
