An innovative and interactive tablet customised to facilitate pre-university (PU) science students with their academics and competitive exams, iTopper was launched on Friday in Bangalore. The tablet was designed and launched by AppThoughtz, an application solutions provider for hand-held devices such as tablets and smart phones, in association with Methsol, their local partner.
The tablet aims to benefit the pre-university students.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Vijjeswarapu, director of Appthoughtz said, “iTopper is going to be a dynamic tool for intermediate students and will enable learning, understanding and analysing complex subjects in a simplified, interesting and effective manner.”
Suresh of Methsol said, “Our team has customised the content for the intermediate board and other entrance exams. We will keep updating the content every year so that the tablet is not obsolete after the completion of the course but can be passed on to new students.”
The tablet consists of all the required study material for plus one and plus two students and can be considered an alternative to text and reference books. iTopper can benefit rural students who may not have access to books or internet.
The purpose of creating the tablet was to make academic content accessible from a single source that is regularly updated. The tablet’s price range starts from Rs 10,500 and it will be available in retail stores in a couple of months.
