No man’s wardrobe is complete without a suit. Suits are worn as a style statement and, most particularly, to project professionalism and a distinctive character.

Be it a wedding, an official dinner, a party or a job interview, you need a clean cut look and the right suit can ensure that. We list out a few suits that will give you a chance to have some fun with cuts and patterns.

The tuxedo or the dinner suit:  The tuxedo is one of the most popular cuts. Today, this suit has emerged as an alternative to the dress coat.

A tuxedo can be a semi-formal evening or party wear and usually comes in black or midnight blue.

They are distinguished primarily by satin or grossgain facings on the jacket’s lapels and buttons and a similar stripe along the outseam of the trousers. Tuxedos are best worn with a black tie or a bow.

The business suit: Business suits are dedicated to formal events.

They are considered the most suitable attire for occasions such as conferences, meetings and interviews.

This suit is distinguished by the different types of lapels it comes with, the most popular being the notched lapel. Both single-breasted and double-breasted suits can be worn with any formal shirt and tie.

Wedding suits: These are generally worn for weddings and parties. Wedding suits are a fusion of traditional fabric and modern style.

They come in varied styles, colours and materials and include designer suits. Traditional designer suits also can give you that desi look when you need one.

Vintage suits:  Vintage suits are traditional British cut suits that consist of a blazer, a jacket vest and pants.

These suits are reserved for extremely formal events. The fabric used is usually wool or polyester. These suits also come in different colours and patterns, but do not give you that sharp look.

Vintage suits are a good look on middle-aged men.In fact, the list of the suits available goes on; there are Italian suits, Church suits, American suits and Asian suits. Suits are better tailored than bought off the rack. The important thing to look for in a suit is a perfect fitting. Know that one-button suits are best for those with a lean physique, two-button suits are the most sought after and three-button suits are out of vogue today. Finally, make sure that your tie should match the rest of your ensemble to some degree. It doesn't necessarily need to be an identical colour combination, just a complementary one.
