Six-year-old Khushi will attend school from Thursday. After staying at home for more than a month, despite having a seat under the Right to Education (RTE) quota, Khushi was formally admitted into Holy Angels School in RPC Layout, Vijayanagar by officials from the South-2 block education office.

Express had reported on Wednesday that ‘official apathy’ had forced her to stay at home and pester her parents to send her to school. “Now, she can join others in the neighbourhood and go to school,” said M Pramod Kumar, a happy father.
