Society should work to save schools: Governor

Society needs to rally together to ensure that educational institutions are not shut down, said Governor, H R Bharadwaj.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Canon Elphick Memorial Centre at Bishop Cotton Boys High School, the Governor observed that an increasing number of schools and reputed educational institutions were being closed.

“I am very upset by this trend. Without education, our country will only degenerate. Society should come together to work and ensure that schools and colleges are not closed down,” he said.

He recalled that Karnataka was renowned for its contribution to the field of education and hoped that this trend would continue and the state would provide more star students to the country.
