The Mumbai-bound bus involved in an accident near Haveri on Thursday was purchased around a month-and-a-half ago, according to National Travels.
Balaji, a manager with the travel company, said both drivers had undergone training at the Volvo training academy in the city. Two passengers who were charred are yet to be identified. Other employees at National Travels let on that the names might be missing from the list of passengers as they did not board from the starting point.
Several names on the list had multiple seats booked against them. “We are trying to identify all passengers and are calling them,” Balaji said.
