Rs 5 lakh for information on fugitive

A day after notorious serial rapist and murderer Jaishankar escaped from the central jail in Bangalore, the Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh police have launched a massive manhunt for him.

A day after notorious serial rapist and murderer Jaishankar escaped from the central jail in Bangalore, the Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh police have launched a massive manhunt for him.

A reward of Rs 5 lakh was announced for information leading to his arrest and police also distributed lookout notices in the three states and formed three special teams to hunt for him.

A team of policemen from Tamil Nadu is also in the city assisting the investigation. “Information is being shared and one of our teams has gone there as well,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South East T D Pawar.
