A grand function was organised at Alpha College of Engineering to dedicate the new infrastructure facilities and to seek blessings for the first year students. Rt Rev Dr Isaac Mar Philoxenos, Bishop, Chennai Bangalore Diocese, Mar Thoma Syrian Church led the service.

He exhorted the students ‘to imbibe the best and to impart the best’ in order to do the best service to the society. Founder and Patron of Alpha Group of Institutions, Dr Grace George presided over the function. She advised the students to make use of their stay in the college to the maximum extent and inculcate the best values in them.

Self confidence, self esteem, positive thinking and perseverance will always help them to outshine others. The students and their parents were familiarised with The Alpha Portal for Student Excellence, the concept of ‘Gurukulam’ to be initiated in the new spacious Students Learning Centre and the unique Faculty Advisor Programme catering

to the needs of individual students.

The management honoured the faculty who secured 100 per cent results in the Anna University Examinations and the student toppers in various departments. The newly constructed Mechanical Wing, Seminar Hall and the office were dedicated by the Bishop.
