Around 6 am, the Fire and Emergency Services received a call intimating them of smoke coming out of a chemical factory in Gowdanpalya near Uttarahalli. However, within a few minutes, before the fire personnel could reach the factory, the fire had spread as there were barrels filled with chemicals stored there.
