48th Annual Convocation of UAS on Sunday

Out of 566 student, 222 students will be get the PG degrees and 59 doctorate and 847 students will get degree certificates in the convocation

The 48th Annual Convocation of  University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bangalore will be held at 11 am on Sunday at College of Agriculture, GKVK.

Governor Hans Raj Bhardwaj, who is also the Chancellor of the University, will preside over the convocation and award the degrees to the graduating Students.

Speaking to the reporters, Vice-Chancellor Dr K Narayanagowda said a total of 847 students will be granted degrees.

Dr M S Swaminathan, agricultural scientist, will be the chief guest and Agriculture Minister Krishna Byre Gowda will take part in the convocation.

Out of 566 student, 222 students will be get the post-graduation degrees and 59 doctorate and 847 students will get degree certificates in the convocation.

The university will award 41 gold and 88 endowment gold medals and total 129 gold medals, said USA registrar Dr M B Rajegowda.

New Project to Give Info to Farmers Vice-Chancellor Dr K Narayanagowda said, “It

is becoming difficult for us to give agriculture information to farmers. We are planning to launch a project to give agriculture information to farmers through Milk Producers Associations.”
